Use to put colour back into areas of wood that have been worn or lightly scratched, as the much lighter colour of a scratch is much more visible. Also three colours are much more likely to disguise a damaged area as wood has many colours in its make up. Possibly use the darker colour to add a grain marking if the area is quite large.
