A Mamod traction engine model in need of restoration. Great project engine! Some clear surface rust and paint loss to the model (particularly to the firebox) and would benefit from some cosmetic restoration. The model is missing the bolt which holds the front axle in place but otherwise appears complete. The model has not been tested though does turn over freely. A live steam Stuart No. 1 model engine mounted on a cast base with a horizontal copper boiler and various fittings. Fitted with disc flywheel. 2 inch stroke. A fully assembled scale model plant which has been built to a high standard though beginning to show use-wear and ageing. Little is known about the boiler and unfortunately it does not come with a builder’s certificate (I would recommended pressure testing prior to use). The pressure gauge has since come loose from the boiler due to the deterioration of the copper pipe. Comes with a rectangular gas burner tray which appears to have seen little use.
