Antique Japanese - Meiji period Arita Ware Fuku Mark Ko-Imari dish with silver-plated stand mounts; decorated with blossoming prunus and cracked-ice pattern - cherry blossom sakura tree at the centre. Condition: the porcelain dish has an old layer chip to top rim - otherwise perfect; the silver-plated stand is missing one of broken-leaf decoration (see photos) otherwise in good uncleaned condition. 6 plates and 1 bowl, they have the red crown with a D underneath on the base (some are worn away) which relates to production in the 1820s. Condition is not too good as there is discolouration and crazing within the glaze (this looks like dirt in the pictures but does not clean away) one plate has a large crack and another has a small hairline crack, there are some small chips to the edges of the back of some plates. The paint on the floral pictures has worn away in some areas too. These are however rare pieces and can be well appreciated by collectors. Please see all pictures for overall condition and appearance. Measurements- the 6 plates are just under 9 inches in diameter, the bowl is about 9.5 inches by just under 9 inches and about 1 and 3/4 inches tall.

Maker:- The back stamp is for the Qing Dynasty Emperor Tongzhi - 1862-1874. The Imari style of porcelain originated in Japan, but was also produced by Chinese potters, and I see no reason why a Japanese potter would fake a Chinese dynasty mark.
