Crystal Clarinet Mouthpiece marked '2' in excellent clean & undamaged condition. Complete with an exclusive Mouthpiece Pouch and Polishing Cloth. I'm unsure of the origin of this mouthpiece, possibly a Stencil for Selmer, but I do know it was made in the same Italian glass factory as the Pomaricos and Vandorens. These come marked 1, 2 & 2, I think in homage to the Vandoren Crystal Mouthpiece, 'A2' the spec of which, would be well known to the factory. The Mouthpiece produces a bright, lively and vibrant sound that remains consistent. A rare, and infinitely more affordable option for those wanting to experience crystal mouthpieces. l Buffet R13, several small cracks in the upper tenon. S/R's. The key work is all firm with no signs of play/ key noise resulting from poor regulation. The body and bore both oiled regularly to preserve and replenish natural oils. Made in the 2000's, with silver plated keys. The tenon end are very slightly rounded but the corks are in good condition and there is a perfect seal with no rocking of the joints. Comes with the additional 'short' barrel to help with intonation and the original faux leather case.

I am a guitarist who use to play clarinet , so bought this for nostalgic reasons, it’s in great condition and has hardly been played, I found it to recently be squeaky when I try to play low notes, though I am not a very good player, I have checked for any leaks and cracks and have checked condition of the corks and pad and they all check out fine,I even purchased an additional mouthpiece, so I am thinking it might be my Level of playing, but my concern is reflected in the price it may just need a basic service.
