A superb, large crystal requlator mantel clock made by Samuel Marti, Paris circa 1880. This impressive clock with visible escapement and fabulous pendulum framed by chunky crystal panes with bevel glass edges which catch the light a treat. What a looker!! This 8 day, two train clock strikes the bell once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour. The mechanism has been fully serviced, is pristine and running beautifully. Includes key to wind and another, smaller for the brocot adjuster. Weighs 7kg before wrapping - that's pretty heavy! Stands 13" (33cm) high, 7.5" (19cm) wide and 6.25" (16cm) deep.
