DEUTSCHLAND 1937 DRITTES REICH 1 + 2 RENTENMARK BANKNOTE + 5 REICHSMARK. Weimer 1942

please see the photos These are German Rentenmark and Reichsmark banknotes issued during the Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany eras. They are a tangible reminder of Germany's economic recovery and transformation between the World Wars. The Rentenmark was introduced in November 1923 to stabilize the currency and halt hyperinflation after WWI. The notes were backed by mortgages on all real property in Germany, rather than gold, which the government lacked at the time. The 1 and 2 Rentenmark notes, like the ones pictured dated January 30, 1937, were issued because the Reichsbank did not issue denominations lower than 5 Reichsmarks. The note on the left is a 5 Reichsmark Reichsbanknote.
