An early ( 18/19 th century ? ) Polychrome Faience Delft lidded jar decorated with hand-painted pastoral scene of a horse and rider enclosed within a shaped panel. This original ceramic jar features a tin glaze finish and is marked to the base and is 28 cm tall. The jar/ vase is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The lid though was broken and been repaired with chips and losses to the finial. It iis still a very handsome piece as can be seen in the photographs and has an interesting and attractive historical subject matter.
