I recently acquired a superb collection of classical cd's from an early adopter of the format, a discerning collector who got a cd player in 1982 and began collecting from that point - apart from an occasional propensity for handwriting the timings of pieces in pen on the inside or back cover of the booklet, he looked after the discs very well and the actual discs are either in absolute mint or close to mint condition.
