I cannot tell if it is new or used. it may well be unused and still has the packaging and even the silica gel. I turned it on and it measured a AA battery voltage correctly. I have not tried it further than that. checked the battery and its got a FUJI battery and the unit has a made in Japan sticker inside, so I expect the battery is original. still measured over 1.5v. leads have started to go white due to age but could be wiped clean. still flexible, not cracking. lovely item for a classic car mechanic.
