Here for sale are 50 good quality BLUE splice connectors. These are used for cables 16-14 AWG or 1.5mm up to 2.5mm. They are very easy to install just slip them over the cable you want to connect to, push the new cable into the hole and use a pair of pliers to push down on the splice.
