Simply roll it over your clothes, sofa, bedding etc and any hairs, dust and fluff will stick to it. The sticky part on the roller is TPR adhesive glue and is hard to the firm to the touch. Roller is removable from the handle, and the ends on the roller are also removeable enabling easy cleaning in soapy water before reassembling ready to reuse again.
