The top of this unit is quite badly scratched but if stood in a tower I think it looked ten times better as long as it wasn't the top one I have tested it to play tapes fast forward rewind an eject and it is all of these absolutely fine I haven't tested it was speakers but it's Sony and as it's moving and doing all the functions I presume it's absolutely fine
