Antique bronze shop sign / plaque - Madame Herve Corsetiere From Albert Gate. The sign is heavy bronze which has built up a blueish patina over the years. The letters are recessed into the metal and finished with black infill. The sign is mounted on a thick wooden backboard and fixed by 4 bolts at the back. Albert Gate is in the Knightsbridge area of Central London. So Madame Herve's would have been a fine quality establishment!
