A lovely Stanley No 4c Smoothing plane. This is a type 8 plane made between 1900 and 1902, indicated by the single patent date on the lateral lever, B castings on body, frog (not pictured but it is there), lever cap. This is during an era where the planes did not carry any "Bailey" markings on them anywhere. Cutter is a slightly later vintage (1909-1912). Handles are both original, the rear has been repaired by me. It was broken 80% of the way through, which I separated and reglued. I've included close up pictures and its barely visible. One I'm quite happy to hang on to if needs be! Thank you for looking.
