They were commissioned around 1840 by Jacob Hamblen, a local builder and property owner. The surrounding buildings shown in the image reflect the traditional architecture of the Cornish port town. On occasion, we do list cards in poor condition if they’re exceptionally rare or, in our opinion, historically significant.
