For Sale is a vintage cast-iron German bean slicer. It is a hand-operated kitchen tool used for slicing green or runner beans into thin, uniform pieces. The device is secured to a countertop or table edge using the integrated clamp mechanism. Manufacturers such as Spong & Co. and Alexanderwerk produced these devices, often in red or black finishes, from the late 1800s through the 1930s.
