Antique Doulton Lambeth "Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese" salt glazed stoneware pepper pot or shaker, dating from 1877. The text "Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese 1667" commemorates the historic London pub which was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1666 and is associated with literary figures.
