You only need to select the width and length of the edge. Simply place it on the exposed edge profile of the sheet and apply with a hot iron. Now it is ready for finishing. Cut off the excess with a sharp knife / e.g. for wallpapers / and smooth any uneven edges with a fine sanding block with sandpaper.
