Very nice Chinese red lacquered freestanding wasted chest of drawers. Drawers have been lined with calligraphy and traditional drawn scenes of formal Chinese life. Produced for the Chinese export market in the mid-20th century, the waisted profile imitates older Ming and Quing furniture forms.
