Leather Bongo Drum African Djembe Traditional Musical Instrument I am not sure what the base is( what leather is stretched over), all outer parts are leather Apparently commonly made from goat skin that is cut and shaped around a frame and the skin slit and wrapped to secure it to the sides. They have a pebble or a seed put inside to add to the tone of the drum and also both sides can be used. Measures approx. 7.5' high x 7' in diameter Some wear on leather (see pictures) which adds a lot to the character . Good condition, (please look at all the pictures) Not heavy but too large for small parcel.
