This horn has a very strong and compact sound, slightly brighter and more focused than 5 digit tenors. This thing plays good. I'm also loving the naturally worn finish. All older pads are used but in good playing condition, pads, springs, keys, and all corks are in good shape, it needs nothing, the pads are seated fine, it blows with a nice sound from the low Bb right up to the high F.
