This book is what is now considered the genuine first edition hardcover book titled "Spycatcher" by Peter Wright, published in 1987 by William Heinemann Australia. This is the Australian edition that was banned in the UK. The book belonged to my father, a civil servant at the time, who was gifted it by a colleague during the time it was banned. It came in an airtight clear plastic cover which I have opened for the first time today (6,11,2025) for the purpose of this listing. This book is as new. The pages have never been opened until today. The pages are as clean as the day it was printed.
