Give it time!
Bewertet am: Okt 13, 2001
Fazit: Brilliant, light, comfy, durable saddle. Once you've tried 1 you may find you always ride on Flite's!.
Ok, what does everyone look for in a saddle?, comfort?, shape?, weight?, durability?. Well each saddle has it's own characteristics for these, but the Flite is, in my opinion one of the best.
Firstly comfort. When you initially pick up a Flite saddle I guess you will think "That is damn hard!". Well it is, and that's part of it's appeal. A hard saddle doesn't move around a chafe your body (unlike a gel saddle), also because the top is made of leather it will get softer as it molds to the shape of your body. Basically give it time and it gets really comfy!.
Shape. Very thin at the front, wider at the back. This means that your legs won't catch the front as you pedal and also that it's easy to move around on and to slide off the back on tricky decents.
Weight. Like a feather, it's a minimalist saddle anyway, add to that titanium rails and you get a heck of a light saddle.
Durability. Good, the leather won't rip unlike some synthetic materials, the rails are titanium so no worries there and it has kevlar edges so you won't scuff the sides.
Overall. A very comfy saddle with time, just be patient with it!, it's very light and it lasts very well. To see how good it is look at the saddle on an old trails heads new bike and you will properbly see a nice old Flite.
