The Motorola H710 Bluetooth Headset is a keeper.

Fazit: Interested in a great, stylish, lightweight, and comfortable bluetooth headset with nice clear sound - the Motorola H710 is the headset for you.
I worked as a Sales Support Representative for an industrial floor coating manufacturer, my job was to make business to business sales calls and secure leads for my sales representatives to follow up on and possibly secure a sale for either epoxy, polyurethane, ESD, or MMA floor coatings. I also sent out Product Data Sheets, MSDS Sheets, and any other information needed by our contractors or customers. I was the middle woman so to speak between our Sales Representatives, flooring contractors, and our company, whatever was needed I was the person who delivered.
In short, I made a ton of calls and when my husband was transferred from his job in Cleveland, Ohio to another location in Marion, Ohio our gas prices for the extra mileage shot through the roof and it was suggested to me by the President of the industrial flooring line that I should be able to work from home.
I was issued a company Dell laptop and a Blackberry Pearl and I was on my way to making calls from my home and saving us some money in gas. I loved everything about working at home, I was still able to secure leads just as if I were still at the office but the one thing I really missed was my headset that I wore when using the land line at work. This was great because I could take notes while still talking with the person on the other line and not miss out on the important issues that the customer had with their floor.
My boss suggested a Bluetooth headset to use with my Blackberry Pearl and that I could pick one up for about twenty dollars, I told him I have heard mixed reviews on the Bluetooth headsets and I needed a headset that would be clear enough for me to understand details and customer names. I do have a bit of a hearing problem and this really concerned me, I used a Plantronics headset at work and it worked really well for me and I wondered if they were manufacturing bluetooth headsets also.
The next day I went up to our local Office Max and found the bluetooth section and was pretty confused as there were so many to choose from. I consulted with a very kind sales associate and explained to him my concerns about hearing clearly and also that I needed a headset that would not be uncomfortable to wear with my glasses.
I did find some Plantronics headsets but he explained that both he and one of the other associates use the Motorola H 710 and although I could go and buy a much cheaper headset he believed that the Motorola H710 would be clearer for me and would better suit my needs.
He asked if I would be outside or in the car when using the headset and I said yes, there would definitely be times when both of these situations would arise.
It was explained to me that with bluetooth headsets there can be issues with wind and car noise that can make it difficult for the person that I am talking with to hear me clearly.
This model the Motorola H710 drastically cuts down on this type of interference and also increases the clarity of the conversation by a good twenty five percent over other bluetooth headsets. Clarity on both ends of the conversation especially when doing business is an absolute essential.
I mentioned my concern with the headset comfortably fitting over my glasses and he said I could take it home and try it out and if it was uncomfortable in any way to simply bring it back. So, I took it home and the headset fit comfortably behind my ear and over my glasses with no discomfort whatsoever.
I had never had a bluetooth headset before so this whole experience was new to me but I really did not have any problems at all even when pairing the Motorola H710 with my Blackberry Pearl.
MOTOROLA H 710 FEATURES
Flip Boom
Volume Buttons (located on the top & bottom of headset)
Call Button
Multi-Color Indicator Light
Speaker
Microphone
Right or left ear compatible
Just open the flip boom to make calls and when receiving calls, all other times keep the flip boom closed to conserve battery life.
The headset comes out of the box as a right ear headset but it can be reversed by simply opening the headset boom and earhook and gently lifting the earhook off the upper hinge pin and pulling it away to remove it. Flip the headset over and hook the bottom of the earhook onto the lower hinge pin, then lift and pull the earhook over the upper hinge pin and you have successfully converted your headset for your left ear.
The call button is located in the center of the headset and is great for re-dialing calls by simply pushing the button and holding until you hear the tone and it will automatically call the previous number you called. It can also be used for answering a second incoming call which places the first call on hold or rejecting a second incoming call.
Volume buttons can be used not only to adjust the headset volume but also to mute or unmute a call by tapping both volume buttons until you hear a mute tone.
The headset indicator light lets you know the battery life that is left in the headset by using three colors.
Red - Less than 2 hours - battery level less than 50% charge.
Yellow - 2 to 4.5 hours - battery level more than 50% charge.
Green - up to 6.5 hours - charging complete.
I learned plenty about various audio tones and what they meant, there is a tone that represents an incoming call, ending call, muting call, to out an out of range and low battery tone.
MY EXPERIENCE
Overall my experience with the Motorola H 710 has been outstanding, the voice clarity is fantastic and it is so comfortable that I hardly know I am wearing it. When the battery is starting to run low I would experience some static or the person that I would be calling would not be able to hear me. I quickly learned to use the headset for the first four hours of the day and then put it on the charger at lunch time, it would be fully charged when I returned from my lunch.
My Dad said he had no problem hearing me when I was using the headset and he has hearing aids in both ears and has had trouble when I used a headset with my old Samsung cell phone but it was not a bluetooth headset just one of those cheap generic headsets that came with the phone.
I was not crazy about the placement of the volume buttons located on the top and the bottom of the headset. At times I would be fumbling around trying to find the buttons while talking with someone and not always succeeding in doing what I was trying to do whether that was increasing the volume or muting a call.
I have generally been very pleased with the Motorola H710 and have had no major issues with the headset and it has performed very well for me.
Too bad my job was lost in this recession, but it was to be expected when you sell industrial floor coatings to manufacturers, car dealerships, and retail establishments of all kinds in an economy that had turned sour - it was fun while it lasted.
I now use my Motorola H710 strictly for my personal cell phone, the Pantech Breeze, and once again I had no trouble in the pairing mode or any other aspect of the headset and would recommend this headset to anyone that wants a quality clear sounding bluetooth headset.
It will set you back some in your wallet though, I bought mine at Office Max for $79.99 plus tax but I believe that you get what you pay for in this case.
